Pipeline Cathodic Protection and Corrosion
Monitor It and Protect It
Anywhere in the World

Monitor and Control - Pipelines and Remote Cathodic Protection Devices - “Anywhere in the World” - Polar Ice Caps, Off-Shore, and Landmasses – including remote, isolated, and inaccessible locations where Cell Towers and Land Lines Don’t Exist.

BALLAS has developed a Satellite “PipeLine Smart Modem” that can easily be installed to Pipelines, Cathodic Protection Devices, Well Heads, and Pumping Stations that will monitor, control, and report performance.

The PipeLine Smart Modem is a completely self-contained device with an internal microprocessor, intelligent modem, software, firmware, and battery pack. -  And, has the capacity to manage a wide array of remote sensors.

The Satellite PipeLine Smart Modem has a weatherproof and rugged case, allowing it to continuously perform in harsh environments including - The Polar Ice Caps and Off-Shore Platforms.

It is estimated that corrosion alone costs the pipeline industry over $8.6 billion each year to monitor - and that corrosion is the primary cause of pipeline failures, which in-turn, can create catastrophic environmental disasters and costly clean-ups.

Until now, monitoring corrosion in pipelines, platforms, and bridges, along with monitoring and controlling the performance of pipeline pumping and control stations, which are often located in extremely remote and harsh locations, has been extremely difficult, time consuming, labor intensive, and very expensive.

Today, because BALLAS provides Low Earth Orbit (“LEO”) Satellite, GPS, and M2M data products and services - which are far less expensive than erecting towers in remote areas or using geo-stationary satellite broadband services - BALLAS can provide data services that will monitor and control Cathodic Protection Devices “Anywhere in the World” that will significantly reduce the company’s daily operating expenses and labor required for intensive corrosion inspections while still improving pipeline security and safety.

BALLAS, LLC also provides a broad range of other LEO Satellite, GPS, and M2M 2-way Data Products and Services which include: Border Control, Home Land Security, Port Security, Container and Intermodal (including: Rail, Ship, Tug, and Truck), Heavy Equipment, Fleets, and Marine – And, remote Propane Gas, Fuel, Oil, and Water Tank level monitoring and reporting, and Cathodic Protection Corrosion Monitoring Devices for pipelines, wells, bridges, and off-shore platforms.
